(Flowood, MS)- Dennis R. “Denny” Bruns, FACHE, Presidentand CEO of River Oaks Hospital was recently recertified as a Fellow of theAmerican College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professionalsociety for healthcare leaders.
Fellow status representsachievement of the highest standard of professional development. Only 7,500 healthcare executives hold thisdistinction. To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiplerequirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academicand experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits anddemonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed toongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years. Recertification maintains the integrity ofthe ACHE credentialing program and helps ensure ongoing commitment toprofessional development.
Bruns joined River Oaks Hospital in June of 2008. Prior to that he served as President and CEOof Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina. Denny has over 35 years of healthcareexperience serving as CEO at hospitals in Tennessee, California, New York,South Carolina, North Carolina and now Mississippi.
