Delegates at theFederation of State Medical Boards’ 97th Annual Meeting, held April 30 throughMay 2, 2009 in Arlington, Va., elected new board members, officers andcommittee members for

the coming year.

Freda McKissic Bush,M.D., FACOG, obstetrician and gynecologist on staff at River Oaks Hospital andWoman’s Hospital, was elected to the 2009- 2010 board of directors. 

Dr. Bush is certified bythe American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and serves on theMississippi State Board of Medical Licensure.

The Federation of StateMedical Boards (FSMB) is a national non-profit organization representing the 70medical boards of the United States and its territories, including 14 stateboards of osteopathic medicine. The FSMB's mission is to continuously improvethe quality, safety, and integrity of health care through developing andpromoting high standards for physician licensure and practice.
